Personal hypno-coaching: create the life you want

"Create the life you want": that's our motto, and this page is where it becomes a method. Because between the life you're living and the one you want, there's rarely a shortage of ideas. There are projects that don't move forward, decisions put off for months, "one day I'll…" that keep aging. Life coaching structures the path, and hypnosis lifts the blocks willpower alone can't reach. Together, that's hypno-coaching — and this page explains honestly what it is, what it isn't, and how to recognize serious support.

Coaching, therapy, hypnotherapy: an honest sort

Let's start with what too many websites leave vague:

  • Therapy treats suffering — that's the domain of psychologists and doctors, and if you're going through psychological distress, that's where to go first: we'll tell you so at the first meeting.
  • Well-being hypnotherapy soothes and undoes blocks — stress, fears, habits.
  • Life coaching, meanwhile, looks forward: you move from point A (your current situation) to point B (a chosen goal) — it's an action-oriented process, not a form of care, for people who are fundamentally doing fine but want things to move.
  • And hypno-coaching is our combination of the last two: the structure of coaching, plus hypnosis to unlock what's stuck at a deeper level.

The real problem: you already know what to do

Person walking through a stone labyrinth by the sea

Lack of information is almost never the problem. You know you should send that résumé, have that conversation, start that project, set that boundary — you've known it for months. And you're not doing it.

That's exactly where classic coaching hits its limit: an airtight action plan breaks against blocks the plan can't see:

  • Limiting beliefs ("that's not for people like me," "it's too late," "I'm not the kind of person who…").
  • Fear of failure (and its quiet twin, fear of success: succeeding exposes you, commits you, shifts balances).
  • Invisible loyalties (surpassing your parents, leaving the path your family had laid out, daring something no one around you ever dared).
  • An identity running behind: we only sustainably do what fits the image we already have of ourselves.

The power of hypno-coaching

That's exactly where hypnosis comes in

These blocks don't respond to reasoning — they get reprogrammed. Hypno-coaching therefore works on two levels at once: the plan (goals, steps, actions) and the ground beneath it (beliefs, fears, the identity that needs to catch up). The plan without the ground gives you New Year's resolutions. The ground without the plan gives you insights with no follow-through. Together, they produce movement.

NLP in our toolbox: what it is, without overselling it

Several of our practitioners are trained in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), which emerged in the 1970s from observing what worked for highly effective communicators and therapists (Psychology Today). Let's be honest, as always: NLP is first and foremost a pragmatic toolbox — and that's how we use it, without turning it into dogma.

Its most useful tools for coaching:

  • setting "well-formed" goals (specific, within your control, ecological — meaning compatible with the rest of your life);
  • reframing (shifting the angle on a stuck situation);
  • anchoring (making a resourceful state accessible on demand).

Tools in service of your goal — never the other way around.

When and how to use hypno-coaching?

The big projects of life coaching

  • Transitions. A career change considered for years, retirement approaching (as anxiety-inducing as it is liberating), moving abroad or coming back, a new chapter after a life stage ends: transitions are the heart of coaching — you lose your bearings before building new ones, and a clear direction changes everything (for the career side, see our Professional Coaching page).
  • Clarity and direction. "I don't know what I want" is the most common reason people come to us — and the most workable: under hypnosis, you access what the mind over-analyzes: your real values (not the ones handed to you), what actually lights you up, and the compass you were looking for in personality tests.
  • Difficult decisions. Leave or stay, accept or decline, here or elsewhere: when pros-and-cons lists have been going in circles for months, the work consists of deciding differently — living out each option in imagination (the two-chairs technique), listening to what the body already knows, and unmasking fear disguised as caution.
  • Taking action. The project endlessly postponed, the beginning never begun: procrastination on big projects has its own mechanisms — perfectionism, a mountain that hasn't been broken into steps, an identity running behind.
  • Balance and boundaries. Relearning to say no, no longer living someone else's schedule, making room for what matters — before the body forces the issue (see also our Stress & Anxiety page).
  • Life habits. Making what works stick (exercise, routines, sleep) by working on identity rather than discipline — habits don't hold through willpower, they hold through self-evidence.

How it works — and when it ends

Serious coaching starts with a clear goal: measurable, dated, within your control — the first session often turns something vague ("I want to change my life") into a real direction. Generally four to eight spaced sessions follow (two to four weeks apart — the real work happens between sessions, in your actions), each combining a progress check-in, the hypnotic work on whatever block came up, and a commitment to the next action. And a clear ending stated from the start: successful coaching makes the coach unnecessary — independence (self-hypnosis included) is the final deliverable, and support that drags on with no end date should raise a flag.

Hypno-coaching: framework and limits

Our coaching ethics

Let's say what few sites say out loud: "life coach" isn't a protected title — anyone can call themselves one tomorrow morning, and the market is flooded with promises of a "dream life in 21 days." Our commitments, plainly:

  • Trained and certified practitioners (several team members are certified coaches through recognized bodies, including the ICF — the international reference for coaching — on top of their hypnosis and NLP certifications).
  • No magical thinking — no "the universe will send it to you": your results will come from your actions, our job is to make them possible.
  • No engineered dependency — no lifetime subscription, an end date planned from day one.
  • An honest sort: if your situation calls for a psychologist or a doctor, we'll tell you at the first meeting. It's the same signature as on all our pages — it matters doubly here.

Life coach or psychologist: how do I know which I need?

A simple question helps: is this about moving forward or about healing? If you're fundamentally doing fine but something isn't moving (a project, a decision, a transition), coaching is your tool. If you're going through real suffering — a collapsed mood, overwhelming anxiety, a traumatic experience — the psychologist or doctor comes first, and we'll tell you so at the first meeting. The two can also happen one after the other.
