Magali ★★★★★
I'm taking the elevator again!
It takes courage, and I have to push myself, but what a change (I once walked up 23 flights of stairs)!
I felt confident during the visualization exercises, which were actually quite unpleasant at first.
Martin ★★★★★
After living for about twenty years with a a problem with agoraphobia that prevented me from driving on highways Without having a panic attack, I decided to take control of my life and seek hypnotherapy.

Phobias and Severe Fears
Our fears are useful because they protect us from potentially dangerous situations or behaviors—except when they become irrational, or even uncontrollable, and are directed at things that are objectively not very dangerous.
Phobias are intense, irrational fears that can cause severe anxiety or even anxiety attacks or panic attacks.
Symptoms Associated with Phobias:
Common symptoms of phobias include intense fear, increased anxiety, a rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing, sweating, and the urge to flee or avoid the phobic situation.
And soon fear—or sometimes even the fear of fear—takes over, and you lose control.
The causes of phobias:
If your phobia is related to a previous traumatic experience, you should see a psychologist or psychotherapist.
Some phobias are not linked to a specific trauma but have developed over time, particularly through avoidance: something unpleasant takes on disproportionate importance as we focus on it and avoid it.
Specific Phobias or Simple Phobias
Specific phobias, or simple phobias, refer to certain objects, animals, or situations.
- Fear of certain objects may include, for example, a fear of needles or mirrors.
- The fear of animals (zoophobia) can refer to a fear of dogs, a fear of spiders, a fear of snakes, or a fear of insects.
- Fear of certain environments may, for example, involve fear of heights, fear of water, fear of heights, the fear of flying, fear of enclosed spaces (claustrophobia) such as a fear of elevators, fear of open spacess (agoraphobia) or certain places (fear of hospitals).
- And sometimes, too, the fear of certain phenomena such as fear of thunderstorms or storms.
- Finally, fear of certain situations may involve, for example, the fear of throwing up (emetophobia), the fear of blushing (ereutophobia), fear of driving (amaxophobia), the fear of getting sick (hypochondria)…
Social Phobias
Social phobia, or social anxiety, is more common than people think.
This applies to situations involving social interaction, such as speaking in public, participating in group conversations, eating in public, or meeting new people.
Or some performance scenarios such as a job interview or giving a speech.
People with social phobia may then fear being the center of attention, being evaluated, or being judged.
For children and adolescents, this may mean school phobia.
Overcoming the Shame of Having a Phobia
Beyond the fear itself, phobias can be a source of discomfort and even shame.
Because those affected know that their fear is excessive and irrational, and they feel not only helpless but also, at times, ridiculous or ashamed.
Hypnosis for Fears and Phobias
Cultivating Calm:
One of the primary benefits of hypnosis is that it helps you develop a sense of physical and mental calm.
And to anchor it within yourself so that you can draw on it when necessary—especially when fear intensifies and you feel anxiety and a panic attack coming on
Desensitization:
Once you have established this inner calm, you will be able to work through visualization and at your own pace to relearn how to cope with difficult situations: by first imagining the object of your fear from a great distance or in a detached way, and then, step by step, reacquainting yourself with the idea of it and its proximity.
Hypnosis, combined with visualization techniques, helps you desensitize yourself and gradually overcome your fear.
Building Self-Confidence
Especially when it comes to social phobias, working on self-esteem and self-confidence will be essential.
